Ganvai was born in Switzerland, where he lives in a family of musicians. Ganvai studied at the Kunst-und Sportschule in Zurich in order to combine his musical and general education. At the age of 3-years-old he fell in love with the trumpet and until 2017 he studied trumpet at a local music school. Now he is a student of Frits Damrow at the University of Fine Arts Zurich. Since 2013, Ganvai has won several frist prizes as a soloist, chamber music partner, and composer in the National Youth Music Competitions of Germany and Switzerland. In 2018 he won 3rd prize at the Rising Stars Competition in Berlin. Several times per year Ganvai attends trumpet masterclasses with Reinhold Friedrich, Jeroen Berwaerts, and Manuel Blanco. He also attends masterclasses for alphorn with Matthias Kofmehl.
